This winter, I had the pleasure to share my experience in business tourism with 30 students in Master 1 MICE of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis.
I’ve been in charge of 2 options:
- Tourism infrastructure and sustainable development.
- Business tourism promotion.
These privileged moments I’ve shared with them helped me to anticipate the evolution of business tourisms in the near and distant future, and to realize how times are changing. I’ve been in a situation to realize how our future professionals in all areas of Tourism Affairs should improve their knowledge of foreign languages and need anticipate these important changes.
I wish all students a successful working life that they will discover at the end of April during their internships and all along their final year of study in Master 2!

SKEMA – Talk about the Management Non-profit Organizations
The management of non-profit organizations
This afternoon, Friday 5th November, I have the pleasure to be invited at the SKEMA for a talk about The Management of Non-profit Organizations. During a 1:30 exchange, which I hope open and friendly, I will share my experience at the head of commercial companies, LSO and now LS Consulting, and as President of the association Andantino.
Being involved in an association, whatever the purpose, is very revealing of the values of a person. This is especially true for students who, and it is perfectly normal, have few credentials to provide for their first job applications. Participating in an association is a very formative life experience and allows them to highlight their abilities and skills. It’s a point I’ve always loved to deepen during job interviews and has often been very rich and revealing of the potential of a young person.

All students in Master 1 MICE have found an internship!
Next to a theoretical cycle, students are now facing their first work experience in Business tourism, at the end of which they have to write an undergraduate dissertation. While they are all facing very different situations, I mostly focus on the maturity that emerges from these dissertations. The key question I ask myself is: “Is this student ready to enter a company? “.
For the majority of them, working life is the next step.
The Master 2 MICE
Others will opt for a Master 2, focusing on e-tourism, which aims to train them on new tools accompanying technological change in business tourism.
The University of Nice Sophia Antipolis is currently looking for teachers specialized in e-tourism for the Master 2.
